in Technology for 2006'
BALTIMORE, MD — The editors of US Black Engineer & Information
Technology magazine (www.blackengineer.com) have selected Kevin Apperson, Chief Information
Officer, Allegis Group Services, for the prestigious 100 Most Important Blacks in Technology list
for 2006.
Featured in the US Black Engineer & Information Technology magazine, which is
distributed nationwide to top engineering colleges, professionals, and high-level corporate and
government decision-makers, the 2006 top blacks are upheld as role models for minority youth
nationwide. Their accomplishments validate the important contributions Blacks make in the
high-tech and business world on a daily basis.
The honorees will gather for an awards event where increasing Black entrepreneurship and
executive development will be discussed. The black-tie event will be held on Friday, Feb. 17,
2006 in Baltimore, MD, as a high point of the 20th Annual Black Engineer of the Year Awards
Conference — the nation's premier career development and employee recognition event for Blacks in
engineering, science, and technology.
The honorees will be featured in the US Black Engineer & Information Technology
magazine’s Homeland Security Edition, which is distributed to the top engineering campuses and IT
professionals all over the country.
